The Science department pleased to announce a great opportunity to our students to participate in the 2017 Novartis Pharmaceuticals Multicultural Teen Mentoring Program. This program will provide students the opportunity to learn more about careers in the scientific/business field and to experience a corporate environment. Student will “shadow” a Novartis employee and work on a project with a team of students across NJ. The event culminates in an awards ceremony and dinner at Novartis for students and their families. The high school students will attend the 3 day program during Spring break located in East Hanover, NJ. The mentoring program is designed to help lessen the comparatively high dropout rate among minority students by helping them set higher personal, academic and career goals by bringing them face to face with successful role models in a corporate environment and exposing them to diverse environment and career options. The program also aims to help build a diverse local future workforce. Novartis is a global scientific healthcare company based in Switzerland that provides solutions to address the evolving needs of patients worldwide.
